- WeedSeeker is the
most economical method of controlling
weeds.
- Of all the various methods for
controlling weeds the obvious one to choose is selective spraying for its
relatively low cost. Selective spraying means spraying only the weeds and
not the surrounding area, thereby causing minimal damage to the environment.
- The WeedSeeker can save up to
90% of pesticide thanks to its automatic weed detection system which only
sprays the weeds and not the ground.
- The system consists of an infrared
sensor which recognises the weeds; this sensor is connected to a spray
nozzle which can be switched on and off rapidly. The benefits of the system
are that it is fast and it can work both during the day and night as the
sensors are insensitive to sunlight .
- Further advantages of the WeedSeeker
over comparative methods are that even at the higher speeds the dosage is
extremely precise. Each sensor covering 30 cm and it is very easy to alter
the width of the sprayer by simply adding or removing sensors.
- The sensitivity of the WeedSeeker
can be easily altered to treat different size weeds or to work on
different surfaces. This means it can work anywhere e.g. Industrial sites,
pavements, paths, orchards, railways and runways.
- The WeedSeeker can be installed
on any vehicle which suits a particular terrain and the specific job.
Key Benefits
- Environmentally friendly
- Saves on chemical and reduces the number of fills a day
- Very simple to use and and increases the daily work rate considerably
