- The
Viper has a large touch screen that allows easily accessed to any of the
different programmed functions. Depending on the requirement different
programs can be activated with an unlock key.
- Scouting is the standard
package and allows the user to
mark 16 different features (attributes) while running a job. The first
feature defaults to logging the field boundary. The other features can be
user defined as either a point, line or zone.
- Guidance The Viper can utilise
an on screen guidance with a CDI Needle to show position and direction, this
can be enhanced with
a Lightbar display. Many different straight line and curved guidance
modes are available.
- AccuBoom This allows the Viper to
control the boom sections when entering and leaving previously applied
areas. The Viper has a look-ahead facility to allow the booms to be switched
on just before entering the non applied area. To allow for non parallel
headlands it is possible to switch off a section in relation to the % of
coverage of a particular section.
- Coverage Map The Viper will
produce an ‘as applied’ map for each of the controlled products, this shows
the area covered and any off target
applications.
- Application Report The user can
input all the relevant information into the Viper with reference to the
specific job, such
as field name, farm, product, weather, tip size, operator name etc. From
this an application report can be produced when the Vipers storage card is
loaded onto a PC. The Rbin viewer can be used to print off the reports or
transfer the data as a shapefile for use in other management software.
- CAN Controller The Viper will
control up to five channels, usually the application rate and four injection
pumps.
- Prescription Maps The Viper can
follow five prescription maps using shapefile format and producing the 'as
applied'
coverage maps.
